"UBAC" undergoes first full model change in 10 years

The UBAC series has been popular with many backcountry skiers as a touring ski that combines lightness with excellent gliding performance. The highly acclaimed intuitive operability and lightweight climbing weight have been retained, while the new UBAC offers a natural feel that anyone can quickly get used to
To ensure solid edge grip on any type of run, the camber has been redesigned to be more moderate and the rocker shape to be less. This increases the sense of contact with the snow surface, significantly improving stability and control while skiing. In addition, the new flex balance, which is slightly softer underfoot and firmer at the tip and tail, makes turn initiation smoother and keeps the edge firmly in place until the latter half of the turn. It handles rough runs and unstable snow surfaces better, further improving the overall response of the ski

The wood core is a poplar and paulownia mix core, also used in the SLAP series. By combining the flexibility of poplar with the lightness of paulownia, it maintains a lightweight design while providing a satisfying gliding feel

UBAC 108|D=141.5-108-127mm (180cm)|L=173, 180, 183cm|R=20m (180cm)|¥125,000
The top sheet is made of a new material that is resistant to abrasion and scratches. It also features a new semi-cap structure, which enhances sidewall durability and edge protection while maintaining a lightweight design. Furthermore, the reinforcing plate at the binding attachment point uses a titinal plate instead of the conventional phenolic resin. This design improves power transmission and durability, making it suitable for hard skiing and frequent binding removal and insertion
"SLAP" has a graphic change

Designed by French street artist Tommy Knuts, who also designed the topsheet of the SLAP 104 Lite last season, the vibrant and playful style has been transformed into graphics that will get you excited whether you're on the slopes or propping it up at home

BRAND features
ZAG was founded in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, France in 2002. Its founder is Stephane Radiguet, a ski instructor, high-level snowboarder, and shaper for the snowboard brand Nidecker. His idea was to "allow all skiers to experience all the sensations of snowboarding, to carve on the slopes and float in powder with incredible ease." This led to the development of skis equipped with a new technology called rocker. In 2003, this rocker technology won the ISPO Brand Award, and in 2008, ZAG launched its first skis with double rocker technology, the SLAP series, which embodies all of ZAG's know-how
In 2010, the company moved its headquarters to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc to become the largest brand in France. Since 2016, the company has been promoting environmentally friendly product development through the "ZAGREEN Program." In 2019, Wadek Gorak used the SLAP112 to win the FWT final round in Verbier, demonstrating its success in competitions
