K2 has released their next-generation ski boots, featuring the "Dual BOA" system, which features BOA dials on both the upper and lower shells. This revolutionary high-performance model combines unprecedented precision in fit adjustment with superior power transmission, making it a perfect choice for skiers who refuse to compromise on their skiing
Fine-tune the fit
K2 is a ski brand founded in Washington State, USA in 1962. They produce skis and boots for a wide range of skiing, from on-piste snow parks to backcountry skiing, and were one of the first to adopt the BOA® Fit System in ski boots
The unique feature of this system is that instead of tightening by pushing on the shell like a buckle, the laces tighten by wrapping around the shell. The shell and cuff tighten in unison, giving you a uniform fit that wraps around your entire foot

For the 2024-2025 season, the company will be releasing a new boot, the Cortex Zonal BOA, which features two BOA fit systems. The upper and lower shells are each equipped with a BOA dial, allowing you to adjust the tightness of the instep and shin area
For example, if you want to tighten your boots tightly but your feet are a little swollen, you can fine-tune the fit to suit the conditions of the day, such as by loosening the lower part a little

The flattened shell distributes pressure evenly, improving contact pressure on the shin and preventing slippage. The excellent heel hold also improves power transmission and stability. It also increases edge-to-edge control, contributing to improved performance
Designed with attention to detail

The unisex Cortex Zonal 140 BOA is a premium model, newly designed from the ground up. This model is the only one with tech pins, making it compatible with tech bindings. The liner that matches the boot has also been carefully designed, featuring the highly functional EliteFit Pro Liner, with 3D shaped ankle and heel forms and a tongue

Additionally, the Cortex Zonal BOA lineup includes the men's 130 and 120 sizes, and the women's 125 W and 105 W. All of these models feature the latest BOA Dafit system, the H+i1

In the conventional system, you push in and turn the dial to tighten the laces, and pull up the dial to release them. If you tightened the boots too much, you had to release them and then turn the dial all the way from the beginning to tighten them again. The latest "H+i1" lets you turn the dial in the opposite direction to loosen them, making it easy to adjust if they're too tight or you just want to loosen them a little
By adding the Cortex Zonal BOA, which combines cutting-edge technology with an even better fit than ever before, you can enjoy high-performance skiing from on-piste to untouched powder while maintaining all-day comfort
