The highlight of FISCHER's 2022-2023 season is the completely redesigned RANGER series. The RANGER series previously consisted of two skis: the directional Ti and the twin-tip FR. Until last season, the lineup included models with different shapes and orientations, which made it difficult to know which skis were best suited to which type of skiing. To solve this problem, the brand has restructured the concept, resulting in a complete redesign of the series, focusing primarily on powder skiing and backcountry skiing
A lineup that makes it easy to choose based on your riding style and field
The target demographic for the RANGER series is "experts" and "naturals."
The "Expert" category includes skiers with racing experience, high technical levels, precise edging, and energy-driven skiers who prefer skis with a waist width of less than 100mm. The "Natural" category is for powder-seeking skiers who prefer skis with a waist width of 100mm or more and ski intuitively and freely
To cater to these conflicting target demographics, each model is clearly differentiated in terms of waist width, rocker shape, etc., allowing us to meet the desires of those who want to freeride but still be powerful on runs that are similar to piste, or those who want to have more fun in deeper powder
Titanal bindings are used to provide optimal stability without sacrificing buoyancy or agility. The Titanal layout allows you to change the binding position to suit your preferred riding style. Setting it forward allows for playful and creative styling, while setting it back emphasizes power and speed
Introducing "Shaped TI with Flex Cut"
For the new RANGER series, we developed shaped TIs with different widths, lengths, and cutting angles for each model. These shaped TIs provide smooth handling, grip, and stability
Additionally, the rocker shape changes at the 100mm waist width mark. Boards over 100mm have a twin tip, while boards under 100mm have a flatter tail, further enhancing the gliding performance of each model. Let's take a look at each model along with the video introducing them

The 116, with the widest waist in the RANGER series, is perfect for playing in powder. Its softer flex and lighter weight make it ideal for deeper powder

The RANGER 108 has a waist width of 109mm and is a well-balanced model that combines excellent glide and maneuverability in powder

The RANGER 102 offers high maneuverability and stability for freedom of use not only in powder but also in different snow conditions such as side country and on-piste.
The difference between these two RANGER 102 models is the difference in radius and length. The light blue model is more maneuverable and comes in sizes starting from 155cm, making it an easy choice for petite skiers.

The RANGER 96 is a versatile model that allows you to carve solid turns and is suitable for all conditions. The titanium underfoot provides stability. This model also comes in two variations. Ideal for those who want to choose a style that suits their build or that offers greater maneuverability

The RANGER 90 has the longest titanium section in the series, providing more stable edging. It is an all-mountain ski that can handle on-piste and bad snow conditions

The RANGER is the only board in the series that does not use Titanal. Its soft flex makes it easy to maneuver at medium and low speeds, making it the perfect entry-level model for freeriding. It's a great choice for beginners looking to get started in freeriding
