Klattermusen Ambassador | Shohei Sasaki's Clothing Review

Skier: Shohei SASAKI

This is a shell jacket and overalls that are perfect for backcountry touring, representing Klattermusen. Its greatest feature is undoubtedly its high level of design. It goes beyond being cool; it's almost beautiful

All zippers are hidden by flaps for a clean look, which of course also serves the practical purpose of preventing the zippers from freezing

The main zipper of the jacket and both thigh pockets of the overalls are equipped with toggles to ensure they continue to function even if the zipper is broken, a characteristic of Klattermusen, which is also widely used in polar regions

This highly flexible and stretchy model is the best in terms of comfort compared to other brands I've worn before. It's so flexible that I often wear it not only in the mountains, but also in the car after coming down the mountain, where I often drive for several hours

The shoulders, knees, and buttocks are treated with Klattermusen's proprietary surface treatment called Duracoat to improve durability

Duracoat is excellent because it doesn't require sewing on a separate fabric in areas where durability is needed, but rather increases durability through a surface treatment, without sacrificing flexibility. The more you use this surface treatment, the more scratches and scuffs will appear, giving the product a beautiful character, allowing you to love and use your product for a long time, just like caring for your favorite denim

The cuffs are not adjusted using the usual Velcro, so they won't deteriorate, and it feels great to be able to adjust them with just one action

Both the jacket and overalls are equipped with a sufficient number of pockets of sufficient size, making them comfortable to wear not only on the mountain but also on the slopes. The hood fits snugly and won't come off even in strong headwinds, and the zipper handles allow you to open and close them smoothly even while wearing gloves, making them a powerful ally in the high-stress mountain environment

The zipper can be opened and closed while wearing gloves
