Hotspots in Kichijoji, Tokyo
Kichijoji, Tokyo, has long been known as a center of subculture and is a popular area for young people of all ages. Always bustling with people, Mt.Peaks opened in October 2022 as the first and only ski pro shop in the vibrant Kichijoji area. The
open storefront perfectly matches the atmosphere of Kichijoji, and the wooden deck entrance is full of atmosphere.
Although it's a compact, one-floor store, it stocks a wide variety of popular brands, from backcountry and freestyle to all-around skis, as you'd expect from a ski specialty store. Visually impactful brands like ARMADA, ICELANTIC, and WAPAN are displayed in the window. Graphic skis are a great fit for the energetic town of Kichijoji, which is interesting
"Mt.Peaks" was created with the desire to respond to the peak
"We want to respect the thoughts of each and every customer and help them choose the right gear. We named the store 'Mt. Peaks' with the desire to reach the top of the mountain, as we want to provide the best customer service that will satisfy our customers. We put a lot of effort into the interior and displays to match the overwhelming number of people, energy, and unique atmosphere of Kichijoji," said store manager Koichi Tatsumi
The shop manager, a discerning shop owner with over 20 years of experience in the ski industry, is particularly knowledgeable about freeskiing, and will not only help you select gear that suits your style and skill level, but will also provide rare information and topics that will fully satisfy the uncompromising preferences and desire for knowledge of core users
There are outdoor tables and chairs on the wooden deck, so you can relax and chill out. You'll want to stay longer and enjoy chatting with the staff and your companions. This is something you'll only find in Kichijoji. Powder and freeride ski lovers feel at home here, and it's a popular spot where they drop in for a stroll or after work
