Introducing GALA Yuzawa's recommended courses, weather forecasts, live cameras, and course maps
GALA Yuzawa (Niigata Prefecture) is a ski resort like this
Directly connected to the station, cashless urban resort with plenty of skiing
GALA Yuzawa boasts excellent access to the ski resort, which is directly connected to the Shinkansen station. Because it is directly connected to the station, there are plenty of package deals that include the Shinkansen. You can also use your Suica card to pay cashless for meals, hot springs, and most of the facilities
GALA's strengths go beyond its accessibility and convenience. Despite its compact size, it has 16 courses, including the descent course "Falcon," which is a long run of about 2.5km, and on clear days offers spectacular views of the hot spring town of Yuzawa
GALA Yuzawa boasts three ungroomed courses in the southern area, "2.6 Million Dollars" and "Bronco," where you can enjoy light, superb powder. Therefore, you can even check the weather forecast for a day trip and head out early in the morning while it's snowing in search of powder

GALA Yuzawa Recommended Course
・2.6 million dollars
Maximum gradient: 32 degrees, average gradient: 15 degrees / Distance: 340m / Slope orientation: -
The 2.6 million dollar course in the southern area is GALA Yuzawa's No. 1 hard course with ungroomed snow. It is extremely popular with challenging skiers, and the opening of this course is considered a "treasure." When it snows, you can enjoy the finest natural powder, and when there is no fresh snow, you can enjoy tackling the impressive moguls that come your way
・Bronco A, B

Maximum gradient: 30 degrees, average gradient: 17 degrees / Distance: 700m / Slope orientation: -
Bronco is located in the southern area of the ski resort, where there are many off-piste zones. The upper part of this course, which is located along the Pair Lift, has a natural undulation with large steps continuing.
When there is fresh snow, the course makes the most of the powder that makes use of the terrain, but when there is not, it is filled with irregular moguls that continue until it joins the Eliza Course. The lower part has a gentle bowl-shaped terrain. Like the upper part of Bronco, there are large steps and a slight drop that allows you to jump. When it snows, you'll want to ride this course using the Pair Lift that connects to the course.
・Super Swan

Maximum gradient: 33 degrees, average gradient: 20 degrees / Distance: 160m / Slope orientation: -
This is an ungroomed course that starts midway through the course, descending from the top of the Victoria Lift in the north area to the beginner's course Swan. This is a famous course at GALA, where you can enjoy powder during snowfall and natural moguls throughout the season. The steepest slope is GALA Yuzawa Ichiban at 33°. This is a face for experts
・Falcon (descent course)
Maximum gradient: 20 degrees, average gradient: 15 degrees / Distance: Approximately 2500m / Slope orientation: -
This is a downhill course that descends in one go from the north area to Ski Center Kawabunga. Although the maximum gradient is 20°, there are some narrow sections of the course, so you'll want to control your speed.
The highlight is the location, where you can see the Tanigawa mountain range and the snow-capped mountains of Minamiuonuma. Long cruises while taking in the spectacular views are exceptional. There are also walls on both sides of the course, and there are many easy-to-pinch terrains along the total distance of 2.5km, making this one of the best downhill courses in Japan that you won't get bored of skiing on.
