Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort is a 100% natural snow powder land that spreads out at the foot of Mt. Shirouma Norikura, the northern tip of the Northern Alps. Located in the inland part of HAKUBA VALLEY, it is famous for its high altitude and large amounts of dry powder.
The backcountry with beautiful broad-leaved beech forest can be accessed from the slopes. Core powder fans come not only from Japan but also from overseas.
The slopes are largely divided into two areas: the Wakaguri slope and the Satomi slope. There are 14 unique courses, including a 2,000-meter long course directly below the summit, and a downhill course surrounded by coniferous trees. A variety of course variations that everyone from families to experts can enjoy. Another great attraction is that you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the Hakuba mountain range at the top of the slopes.
At the Hakuba Alps Hotel and Norikuraso, located at the foot of the slopes, you can enjoy the famous 100% free-flowing hot springs drawn from the source of Norikura Onsen, even on a day trip.

Heli-skiing operations this season start mid-January!
At Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort, heli-skiing, which began on March 21st last year, is scheduled to take place this season from mid-January to early March 2026, which is the peak season.
This is a special experience where you can ski down a majestic snowfield for about 2km from an altitude of 2,110m. The ski route is selected by the guide depending on the snow quality and conditions of the day. There are also plans available that allow you to enjoy a discount if you reserve multiple runs in advance. This is a luxurious activity where you can enjoy tree runs through the forest with the spectacular winter scenery of Hakuba below, and the finest powder snow that the area is proud of.

At the top of the slopes, the view, snow quality, and face are the best and strongest. With a maximum slope of 38 degrees, an average of 25 degrees, and a width of 250m, it is a famous steep slope of Hakuba Norikura. When it snows, you can enjoy deep overhead powder.

This is also a legendary steep slope with a maximum slope of 35 degrees. Deep powder during snowfall is a pleasure only for advanced skiers. Whether or not it is open will be announced on the signboard at the entrance.

A steep, uncompacted slope with a backcountry feel along the second pair lift. The aim is powder at the time of snowfall.
