Shugakuso's Hokkaido University store was formerly known as the main store, and is a long-established store that established the base of Shugakuso. The store mainly sells mountaineering equipment, and in winter it focuses on backcountry skiing and telemark skiing. The telemark section is one of the best in Japan, with a wide selection of gear, knowledgeable and experienced staff who will provide advice and display and sell gear for enjoying powder snow. It is located a 10-minute walk north from Sapporo Station, right next to Kita-Juni-Jo Station on the Namboku Subway Line, and has parking for 25 cars. Easy access is also an attraction
