World Environment Day on June 5th this year
Did you know that June 5th is World Environment Day designated by the United Nations?
With the theme of "Only One Earth" and "Irreplaceable Earth", it is an opportunity to think about the need to live a sustainable life in harmony with nature and to propose a more eco-friendly lifestyle.

World Environment Day was established by the United Nations in commemoration of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, held in Stockholm, Sweden on June 5, 1972.

In 2022, on June 5th (Sunday), the Environment Agency will host a special green lighting event on the environment in cooperation with about 260 landmarks nationwide.
For example, in Tokyo, the color that lights up skyscrapers and commercial facilities in Tokyo, such as the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Skytree®, and Roppongi Hills, will change to green, which is an image of the environment. If you see this light-up, you can also participate in environmental protection enlightenment activities by posting on SNS with the hashtag "#environment day is green".
