K2 JAPAN is
hosting the 4th K2/BCA Tateyama Tengu Classic 2022! We are currently recruiting participants for the tour!
from May 14th (Sat) to 16th (Mon), 2022
Enjoy a three-day backcountry tour unique to Tateyama in spring,

The annual K2 JAPAN backcountry skiing event "K2/BCA Tateyama Tengu Classic" to enjoy spring in Tateyama will be held again this year!

The three-day event is packed with fun programs, including ski tours guided by K2 contract guides (Horie Jun, Saeki Iwao, Igarashi Kazuya, and Handa Yuzuru) who are experts on the fields of Tateyama, a participatory event called "Tengu Classic" where all participants create short turns on a single huge run, and workshops. This event, held at a time when there are no crowds after Golden Week, is an event for backcountry riders who want to fully enjoy the true charm of Tateyama's backcountry at an altitude of nearly 3,000m and who are particular about the quality of their skiing

[The three pillars of Tengu Classic]

1. Tateyama BC Tour(The tour includes both participatory short tours and optional tours of your choice)
- Enjoy the spring scenery of Tateyama to the fullest with guiding from a guide who is well-versed in Tateyama!
- By using Tengudaira Mountain Hut as a base, the field around Midagahara can also be effectively utilized.

Also, during this season, you can use the bus between Midagahara, Tengudaira Mountain Hut, and Murodo as an alternative to a ski lift.
A. From Tengudaira to the Midagahara area (using skins and bus)
B. From Tengudaira to the Murodo area
C. From Murodo to Tanbodaira (using skins and the Alpine Route)
D. From Murodo towards Tsurugisawa and Masasawa

2. Participatory Event "Tengu Classic":
On the steep, open slope behind Tengu-daira Mountain Hut, all participants will challenge themselves to short turns!
How you challenge yourself is up to you. Solo, formation, eight, and more are all possible. Now is the perfect time, especially with the current trend of wide skiing!

3. Workshop where you can test ride and try out K2/BCA's '22-23 new models!
Try out the new gear for the '22-23 season on the snow! From fat skis perfect for backcountry use to BCA's avalanche gear that you've been curious about, you can actually use them and check out how they feel.
