The "WORLD SKI AWARDS" is a prestigious award often referred to as the Oscars of the global ski tourism industry.
Established in 2013 with the aim of raising the standards of the ski industry, the competition is now in its eighth year.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of skiers and snowboarders from around the world vote, with each category being set for ski resorts, hotels, travel agencies, and other businesses from around the world. Nominees are announced in June each year, and after a public vote online, the Grand Prize winner is announced in November
Just recently, the award results for 2020 were announced, and Japan was recognized in the following four categories:
Japan's Best Ski Resort 2020,
Japan's Best Ski Hotel 2020,
Japan's Best Ski Boutique 2020, and
Japan's Best Ski Chalet 2020.
