Spring has arrived again in Tateyama! Today, Thursday, April 15, 2021, the entire Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route was opened to traffic. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the entire route, and it is expected that many people will visit
For skiers drawn to powder and backcountry, Tateyama is special at this time of year.Immediately after the Alpine Route opens, you can enjoy powder depending on the timing, and there are different kinds of enjoyment depending on the season, such as the film crust unique to spring and the superb corn snow. Even after the Golden Week holidays in May and into June, the conditions remain excellent. This is the perfect time to enjoy skiing down 3,000m-class mountains!
