The time is coming when you can ride the lift using only your smartphone!
Grand Snow Oku-Ibuki boasts one of the largest snowfalls in the Kansai region, and is gaining popularity due to its easy access from the Keihanshin and Chukyo regions
On July 22nd, the Japan Tourism Agency announced the implementation of a "Plan to Create Lake Biwa's Essentials Maibara Snow Resort Centered on Shinkansen Maibara Station" as part of its "Project to Promote the Development of Internationally Competitive Snow Resorts." Specific project plans include "renovating the rest house" and "installing mobile flow-compatible flexgates."
◇Renovation of the rest house

Until now, the aging of the facility and its outdated layout have resulted in long lines of people waiting to order, but by completely renovating the rest house, it will be improved to offer food and drink menus that are targeted at inbound tourists and young people

◇Installation of mobile flow compatible flex gates

To improve convenience and prevent infectious diseases, lift tickets are being digitized. By purchasing lift tickets in advance via smartphone, ticketless systems will become possible. Passengers will be able to pass through IC gates using only their smartphones. SKI DATA's mobile flow-compatible flexgates will be the first of their kind in Asia
We will continue to keep an eye on Okuibuki, which has been making proactive capital investments such as building new high-speed lifts, creating new courses, and introducing artificial snow machines, thereby increasing user satisfaction
