"Long Root Lager" from Patagonia Provisions as a "beer that restores the earth" using organic ingredients and perennial grains. The 'long root' used in this beer refers to the long-rooted and perennial khanza. Khanza is a relative of wheat, but grows without pesticides and with less water than conventional wheat. It restores damaged soil, absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere than annual crops, breaks down roots left in the soil after harvest, and also has the property of locking carbon into the soil. By cultivating Khanza, partner farmers can help fix greenhouse gases in the ground and regenerate depleted topsoil.

Patagonia launched the world's first Khanza-made Long Root Pale Ale in 2016, and this Long Root Lager is the fifth in the series. Among lagers, it is finished in Helles, a traditional style that originated in Munich, Germany, and has a sharp and refreshing taste. Compared to Pilsner, it has a stronger malt flavor and less hop bitterness. Combined with Khanza's unique spicy flavor, it is a light and low-alcohol type for the coming summer.
Pre-sale at Patagonia directly managed stores. The Patagonia online store will be on sale from mid-June. Since it is a limited brewed product, sales will end as soon as the stock runs out.
