"FLOAT" has been developed for lightness, affordability, and high convenience. Since 2010, it has become the best-selling model in North America as an avalanche airbag. In 2022, in pursuit of further convenience, "FLOAT E2" using Alpride's supercapacitor was born.
What is the new performance of FLOAT E2?
The new system "FLOAT E2" uses Alpride's supercapacitor fan drive system to store energy and supply power to the compressor during deployment. Supercapacitors store and release energy based on magnetic energy rather than chemical reactions like secondary batteries, so their performance is highly reliable even at low temperatures.
It is very convenient because it can be recharged and driven with two AA batteries (charging time 40 to 80 minutes) or the included USB cable (charging time 20 to 40 minutes). Moreover, since it is guaranteed to charge 500,000 times, you can practice many times and you can rest assured that it can be used for a long time.
FLOAT E2-35
A full fledged FloatE2-35 airbag pack with all the features of a 35 liter pack. Features include waterproof coated nylon, side stash pockets, back stash zippers, curved side access zippers, removable ski and snowboard compression straps, hipbelt pockets, cooling fin rear panel ventilation, and dedicated safety tool pocket equipped with.
FLOAT E2-25
A slimmed-down 25-liter Float E2-25 airbag pack designed for backcountry riding with less luggage. All the same features as the Float E2-35, but with 10 liters less volume and a lower profile so you don't need compression straps.
