Ski Gear Review LINE,K2,MARKER|Mikiya Tanno

Let's talk about the impressions of the favorite gear that riders used this winter.
This time, it is the gear that Mikiya Tanno, who is mainly active in Yamagata Zao and also runs a pro shop, loves.

Mikiya Tanno 37 years old

When he was in his twenties, he was engaged in photography activities for TLSP while competing in domestic and international free ski scene contests.
After that, he switched to halfpipe competition and competed in the World Cup and World Championships. Currently, we are expanding the field to the backcountry and doing photography activities.
In 2013, he launched the ski shop TRUNKBASE, and in order to convey the fun and charm of skiing, he is working hard every day to manage the shop and his own skiing activities.

●Frequently used conditions
From the beginning of the season to the spring season, it is used in any snow conditions throughout the season.

●Review
Line ski, VISION model and BLADE model.
The image that the metal technology adopted for BLADE entered VISION. A freeride model that can handle any situation from powder to hardpack. Power transmission is good, and it is recommended for skiers who want a sense of stability on any kind of snow.

●Review
The separate binding allows the board to bend firmly, and the hold is good and the force is transmitted very well.
No matter what, you can trust the binding and step in firmly. I like the feeling of security when jumping and sliding.

Ski ② Review

LINE VISION 118

5 levels of impression of hardness (★1=soft←→★5=hard)
Nose: ★★★☆☆
Center: ★★★★☆
Tail: ★★★☆☆

●Five levels of suitable scenes
Powder: ★★★★★
Grooming: ★★★★☆
Hard pack: ★★★☆☆
park: ★★☆☆☆
Moguls: ★☆☆☆☆
Touring: ★★★★ ★

●Frequently used situations Often used
from the first half of the season to the high season. Although it is slippery on the slopes, there are mainly many non-compressed snow slopes.

●Review
It's a fat ski, but it's very light.
In addition, the nose floats well and is easy to handle. There are many skis that lose their sense of stability when they seek lightness, but by mixing carbon and glass fiber, they maintain their sense of stability without losing their sense of stability. Recommended for skiers who value gliding performance and are looking for lightness. I like the overall balance.

Ski ③ Review

LINE VISION 108

5 levels of impression of hardness (★1=soft←→★5=hard)

Grooming: ★★★★☆
Hard pack: ★★★★☆
Park: ★★★☆☆
Moguls: ★★☆☆☆

●Frequently used conditions
Used in backcountry areas and ski slopes from the beginning of the season to spring.

●Review
108's center waist is designed to be lightweight while maintaining gliding performance.
From the slopes to the backcountry, you can handle anything. I like the all-around part that this one is OK without adjusting to the conditions of the day. It's a very well-balanced ski, so the rate of use during the season is high.

Binding ③ Review

MARKER DUKE PT16

● 5 levels of impression
Power transmission feeling: ★★★★★
Reliability: ★★★★★
use: ★★★★ ☆
Lightweight feeling: ★★☆☆☆
Operating feeling of climbing mode change: ★★★★ ★
Heel lifter operation feeling:★★★★☆

●Five levels of suitable scenes
Powder: ★★★★★
Grooming: ★★★★★
Hard pack: ★★★★★
Park: ★★★★☆
Moguls: ★★★☆☆
Touring: ★★★★ ★

●Frequently used situations (time, place, conditions, etc.) Mostly
used in the backcountry area during the season.
Such as when using hard in the mountains. (When skating hard burns, tricks, etc.)

●Comfortable use of the walk mode function
toe piece is removed, it becomes like a kingpin, so you can climb lightly and comfortably.
There is only one climbing support, but there is no problem if you climb a gentle slope.
Also, when switching to walk mode, it is easy to raise and step on the brake lever without switching the heel piece.

●Review
This binding is for hard use in the backcountry area.
You can trust the bindings and step into it powerfully, and you can do tricks as well. You can demonstrate your riding with the comfort of climbing as if you were using a kingpin and the security of using a separate binding JESTER when skiing.
Recommended binding for skiers who value gliding performance in any situation rather than lightness.
It can be used like a normal separate binding on the slopes, and I like the fact that it can be used on BC as well as using the same separate binding.

K2 DIVERGE SC

Upper:★★★★☆

Hard pack: ★★★★★
Park: ★★★★☆
Moguls: ★★★☆☆
Touring: ★★★★ ★

●Frequently used situations (time, place, conditions, etc.)
You can ski anywhere with these boots throughout the season. Slopes, parks, backcountry, all fields.

●Comfortable use of the walk mode function The
simple structure does not cause any troubles throughout the season, and there is no problem even if it is used hard. If you remove the tongue, the range of motion expands like a normal shoe, making it comfortable for long tours.

●Review
These boots have a walk mode, but they are highly synthetic and don't feel twisted or distorted.
Boots that can be used as hard as yourself without any trouble. An all-round boot that can be used hard in the park without any problem, whether it's on the slopes, in powder, or in the backcountry.
