Fat skis recommended for powder | Width 110-120mm [soft] Rider evaluation and ride review

Skier: Masahiro Murayama Photo: STEEP @ Daigo Onozuka

Among the skis favored by riders, we selected a fat ski with a waist width of 110 to 120 mm, which was highly praised for its excellent performance on powder skiing. Ride quality was categorized based on numbers expressing the impression of hardness of the nose, center, and tail in five stages. The characteristic of the [soft] fat skis gathered here is "excellent operability". Let the riders know more about the ride and how it works.

●Review
It gives the impression that it is a ski for freestyle movement in the powder rather than a ski for skiing on powder. The skis are very light and easy to handle and follow your movements instantly. It's thinner than the BENT120, making fine movements easier. It is a recommended ski for those who have just started freeriding.

●Frequently used situations
Mainly used in the high season (December, January, February) when there is plenty of powder snow and when the snow is so loose that the skis sink, and it is used in the side country and back country. I use it in parks sometimes.

●Review
110 has been added to the Benchtler series from next season. As for ride comfort, it feels just between 120 and 100 so far, and it seems to be quite easy to use. Until now, the 100 has been used for grooming and parks, but it felt like the 120 was a little more suitable for powder riding. As a matter of fact, I ride pretty overspec for women to ride. So I think women should go down one size.

I often use it when reviewing powder!
This board is also relatively soft, so I think it is a board that is easy to play! The ULTRALITE is lighter than a normal JJ, so it's easier to climb in the backcountry!

●Review
It's a full rocker ski, but when you ride it, the contact point feels longer than you think. It's 183 cm and weighs 1700 g, so it's light and you can definitely enjoy the distance on the mountain. You can enjoy various styles of riding because you can easily do tricks without losing speed even on gentle slopes!

●Frequently used situations
From the beginning of the season to the end of the season, use with BC & slope powder. All can be used except for skinny conditions.

This ski is very easy to handle and can be easily ridden by anyone. Despite its thickness, it can easily make short turns and has great buoyancy in deep powder! You can slide very easily because it returns firmly as much as you step on it.

Surfy-like skis that allow you to glide smoothly on the natural topography of snowy mountains. A product that anyone can ski comfortably with a high degree of freedom and a lightweight structure.

●Frequently used situations
I mainly use it in the backcountry from the powdery conditions of the harsh winter to the granulated spring season.
