HIMARAK, promoting the appeal of leather gloves

HIMARAK is a Japanese brand that has been in business for 11 years. The product sewing factory is in Kagawa Prefecture, and the leather tanning is done in Nara Prefecture. According to what I heard, Kagawa Prefecture has many glove makers, and not only sports gloves such as golf and motorcycles, but also firefighter gloves boast the top share in the country.

Himarak gloves are basically made of cowhide, but some models also use deerskin. Deerskin is used for kendo gloves, and it is said that the inside of the hand is very important. Inspired by that, deerskin is used for models that require more operability.

A model from when the HIMARAK brand started, the one on the left is brand new and the one on the right is used. The change in leather texture is obvious

Leather gloves have excellent heat retention, durability, waterproof and windproof properties, and are well known for their high performance.

By the way, the glove in the photo above is a model when the HIMARAK brand was started. New on the left and used on the right. The leather is a little stiff at first, but as you continue to use it while applying oil, it will become familiar like this. The more you use it, the more it changes color and shape, making it more comfortable to wear. The leather will move supplely, and you will become attached to it like a partner. The feeling of growing with this love is fun, and this is the goodness and taste of leather.

In that sense, HIMARAK gloves have a lot of enthusiastic fans. This is also one of its characteristics. Recently, the appeal of its quality and taste has spread from snowboarders to skiers. The number of riders who love it is increasing. Freerider Mirai Nakagawa and her teacher Tokunori Sasaki of ICELANTIC also love it. It is said that we are giving feedback on its usability and functions.

Large mittens with a strong presence look extremely warm, and are perfect for midwinter and deep snow powder rides. But ABSINTHE is more than just warmth. Its feature is a long zip on the index finger side. This allows all four fingers to come out.

It's very useful when you don't want to take off your gloves, such as in the harsh winter, but you need to do a little fingertip work. It is said that it is very popular, especially from photographers, filmers, guides, patrols, and other professionals who need to use their hands to work on snow.

"RUM" is the best-selling product with the best comfort
