rider profile

Kyoto Harada

Kyoto Harada 39 years old

, from Osaka Prefecture, studied abroad in Otari Village when he was in junior high school. After that, he went out into the world as a traveler and skied mountains both in Japan and abroad as a professional ski bum.

When I was in junior high school, I went to Otari Village to study abroad.
He left his hometown to discover the benefits of traveling, and having doubts about the society that evaluates people based on scores, he decided not to apply to high school and instead set out to become a traveler and travel around the world. He skated in different places and around the world and became a professional ski bum. Do you all know the word "bum"?
It was an honest move on the part of the skater.
Currently taking a walk in Bucket Forest.

Please tell me why you chose this setup.

A sense of trust that allows us to go together on any slope. Partner. Whether it's compacted snow, powder, BC, or the slopes, you can control it with confidence. Whether it's spraying powder, carving compacted snow, or BC's natural terrain, it's your companion.

ski impressions

4FRNT MSP107|L=187cm|D=139-107-129mm|2019-20 model

What are your impressions of the performance and ride quality of this ski?

You can enjoy skiing on powder, compacted snow, mid-winter, and spring snow.

In addition to that, please let us know what you like about this ski, such as its design or other points.

The graphics are different on the left and right, so the two are one picture. I like it. Being able to decide between the left and right boards also makes it easier to judge.

What kind of people is this ski recommended for?

For those who mainly go to the slopes and occasionally go to BC. Recommended. Recommended for those who want to do both ski slopes and BC.

boots impression

LANG XT3 PRO 140|2020-21 model

What are your impressions of the performance and comfort of these boots?

In the past, I wore XT3 Flex 130.

Now compatible with tech binding, the comfort has changed. I chose the XT3 140 in search of the comfort that existed before tech bindings were available. I'm glad they have the same comfort. The 140 alpine boots are too stiff for me and I don't feel like I can wear them. I chose 140 because it is a Lang XT3 with walk mode that is compatible with current tech bindings. Everyone, it's important to try on your boots. I have snowboards to try on, but no boots. When you wear them at a shop, the temperature is different from winter, so the stiffness will change depending on the temperature. Picture it in your head and try it on. I hope you find boots that fit your foot size. If the size doesn't fit, there are craftsmen in various locations who can process it. Kansai, Kanto, and Hokkaido. Please check it out. Boots that fit the shape of your feet are the best. I'll be your partner. I hope we can meet.

In addition to that, please tell us what you like about these boots, such as the design or one point.

LANG is not a brand for BC, but a brand for skiers. They finally made the boots for BC and they are so nice. My favorite is the "sliding feel".

Binding impressions

MARKER KING PIN 13 | DIN release value: 9 | 2022-23 model

What are your impressions of the performance and feel of this binding?

It's light and easy to go to BC. If your board is only for ski slopes, you can wear ski bindings. However, since I'm a BC & ski sloper, Kingpin is better. easy to use. It also has a good sliding feel.

In addition to that, please let us know what you like about this binding, such as its design or other points.

A stylish place!

What kind of people do you feel this gear is recommended for?

For those who enjoy both the slopes and BC

Please tell me where to install the binding and why.

I use the free ski brand "4FRNT", so I install it in the position indicated by the brand.
If it's a park main, there may be a realistic center position in the middle of the board. For me, terrain is my main focus, so I mainly skate forward. So, I feel like the brand designation position is good. Please think about each style. This is also the fun and depth of skiing. I'm a bit jealous of being able to change the binding position on a snowboard. Skiers carefully decide on the position of their bindings. Let's make a decision with a strong will.
