Simon Fujita's setup

Review of the entire setup

What kind of places and situations is this setup designed for?

Basically, this setup is designed for snow park riding in Japan and overseas, terrain play on the slopes, and powder on the slopes.

Please tell me why you chose this setup.

With a light swing weight that won't make you tired even if you wear it for a long time.
The moderate soft flex on the top side makes it easy to perform tricks in the snow park and ground tricks on the slopes and terrain.
It has a relatively hard flex from the center to the tail, so it will not impair its skiing performance on packed slopes at ski resorts overseas.
In addition, the 90mm thickness and rocker shape make it easy to slide on uncompacted snow on the slopes.
I think it's a setup with high versatile performance.

ski impressions

MAJESTY DIRTY BEAR PRO L=171 cm|D=122-90-113mm|2022-23 model

What are your impressions of the performance and ride quality of this ski?

You can smoothly switch between intentional shifting (butter) movement and edge grip.
Due to the softness of the flex on the top side, the soft flex on the nose will smooth out unevenness even on rough roads.
In turns, the torsion works well and gives you a sticky grip, so you can also ride in half pipes.

In addition to that, please let us know what you like about this ski, such as its design or other points.

Versatile performance that is not too sharp as a board.
Despite being a relatively lightweight board at 171cm and 1500g, it is reasonably durable.

What kind of people is this ski recommended for?

The thickness of 90mm is right in the middle of the current park scene.
Recommended for everyone from beginners to advanced players who want to do light tricks such as park and grator tricks.

boots impression

FT DECENDANT 100|2022-23 model

What are your impressions of the performance and comfort of these boots?

The shell flex, which is neither too hard nor too soft, allows you to smoothly transmit the force you want to the board.
Provides a comfortable hold that will keep your feet from getting tired even when riding for long periods of time or hiking up.

In addition to that, please tell us what you like about these boots, such as the design or one point.

Smooth step-in. Fitting with thermoformed inner by Intuition.

What kind of people do you think these boots are recommended for?

It is a relatively wide type with a width of 99mm at the end, so it is recommended for those who do not fit the slim type shells such as Dropkick, ATOMIC, Dalbero, etc.

Binding impressions

TYROLIA ATTACK 14|2022-23 model

What are your impressions of the performance and feel of this binding?

Even if you put your center of gravity on the nose with great effort, it won't come off. Compared to other companies, the design has a lower center of gravity, making the board more maneuverable. And I think it's relatively lightweight.
The vertical release is not as strong as LOOK, but it is used by top athletes so it is not a problem.
Most of the people who often came off had a pattern where the front pressure of the bottle and the edge adjustment did not match.

In addition to that, please let us know what you like about this binding, such as its design or other points.

Jesper uses it. Highly reliable, used by top athletes from all over the world in competitions.
Since the brake is integrated, it is strong and hard to break. (It's troublesome if it breaks)

What kind of people do you think this binding is recommended for?

People who like settings with a lower center of gravity than markers.
People who like designs where the heel piece is not too big.

Please tell me where to install the binding and why.

Minus 1.5cm from the center of the full length of the board
A place to maximize the swing weight of the board while ensuring the minimum glide performance.
If you center the ball, the swing will be lighter, but the glide will be significantly lower. With a slight setback, you can enjoy the glide as a ski.
