Shugakuso Asahikawa is a mountaineering and ski specialty store located in the city of Asahikawa near the Daisetsuzan area.

Deputy manager: Masahiko Tamura in charge of skiing 

Moved to Asahikawa 14 years ago after working at an outdoor shop in Tokyo and a mountaineering manufacturer.
Upon moving to Japan, he acquired a certified instructor qualification from the Japan Telemark Ski Association and is still active in backcountry skiing (telemark). He also plans and manages events for telemark ski races, and puts a lot of effort into promoting telemark skiing.
