The Hokudai branch of Shugakuso was formerly called the main store, and is a traditional store that built the base of Shuugakuso. The store mainly sells mountaineering equipment, and in winter it focuses on backcountry skiing and telemark skiing. The telemark corner is one of Japan's top-class, well-equipped, knowledgeable, and experienced staff, who offer a variety of advice and display and sell gear for enjoying the powder.
The location is a 10-minute walk north from Sapporo Station, right next to Kita 12-jo Station on the subway Namboku Line, and there are 25 parking spaces in the parking lot. Ease of access is also attractive.
