Grindelwald Naeba|Hotel that produced Mogul Olympic athletes

Birthplace of mogul players Takuya Shimoyama and Kenro Shimoyama

Founded in 1967, Naeba Grindelwald is a lodge that has been passed down for three generations.

The current third generation is Takuya Shimoyama, who participated in the All Japan Mogul Championships. His brother, Kenro, who is two years younger, represented Japan at the Salt Lake City Olympics. In other words, Grindelwald is an inn run by the parents of Olympic athletes. Conveniently located 500 meters from Naeba's main slopes, this lodge can accommodate 80 people, which is quite large for a lodge. There are also many group training camps. There is also a large hall in the building, which can be used as a billiards hall and a table tennis field in the winter.

The owner says that he is working on cooking and cleaning the room with the motto of "never cut corners".
For example, for dinner, a main dish centered on meat, a soup that uses plenty of seasonal ingredients, freshly cooked Koshihikari rice from Uonuma, and handmade sweets of the day. is doing.

Thoughtful room

There are both Western-style and Japanese-style rooms. It is well cleaned and maintained, and it does not make you feel that it is a little old. It is a space where you can spend your time comfortably and comfortably.

Homemade food that warms your heart and body

Grindelwald's great charm is the food that the third-generation owner and his mother make with all their heart in the kitchen.
Among them, handmade ham is especially popular. In addition, hot soup, salad with plenty of fresh vegetables, and freshly cooked Koshihikari rice from Uonuma. Furthermore, as you can see, the sweets of the day look delicious! *The menu may change depending on the purchase situation.

There are various arrangements such as one night with two meals and the previous night plan where you can enjoy such a proud meal.

"Exquisite" or "Recommended!"

The best part of Grindelwald is the silver world that you can see from the dining room's large window on a snowy morning. Its beauty is soothing. Enjoy a relaxing moment with a cup of fragrant coffee.

Profile

Third generation owner
Takuya Shimoyama

The third generation born and raised in Naeba. He has been skiing since before he can remember. He discovered the fun of moguls, and together with his younger brother, Kenro (Salt Lake City Olympic moguls representative), he built his own course and practiced hard. He is the first member of the JWSC ski course and participated in the All Japan Mogul Championships. Recently, I've been working exclusively on back mountain skiing, mountain climbing and bonfires.

<A
short message> I think that Naeba Ski Resort, including the Kagura and Mitsumata areas, is a ski resort where you can fully feel the potential of its scale. The depth of the bosom that accepts everyone from parents and children to experts is attractive.
