Level 1|2020 Latest work “NOTHING” Trailer released!

Level1Production(hereinafter L1P) will release a new short film on October 1st.

As you can see, the film's style, featuring skiing, snowboarding, and powder surfing footage—a departure from previous L1P

productions—is generating buzz. The cast includes seasoned professionals like Parker White, Lucas Stål Madison (aka LSM), and Duncan Adams, all hand-picked by Freedle Coty, who has collaborated with them for many years.
The locations are Hokkaido in Japan and Mt. Baker in the United States, a clear target for heavy snow and powder.

What kind of work will it be?

I first met Parker two seasons ago, during the filming of L1P's final project, Romance.

LSM, who was accompanying them, contacted me through Peak Performance, a company I work with, asking me to recommend some backcountry spots around Asahidake and other locations (with minimal hiking, of course).

At first, we were going back and forth, showing each other maps, but it all started to get a bit tedious, so I said,
"Okay, I'll show you some good snow! I'll even prepare a meal for you!"
(laughs).

Then I combined weather maps and snowfall information with my own repertoire of spots to find slopes that they would be happy with.

When I accompanied them, I would arrange the locations, and when I couldn't, I would leave it all to my photographer friend, Yasu (Yasushi Shimanuki). That's how the filming went, but they seemed very satisfied.

Then last season,
"We're going to film with the same members again this year, thanks in advance
." Apparently, this time it wasn't an L1P project, but Parker's own project.

I was excited to see them again and we hugged, and the first thing that surprised me was the amount of luggage they had.
LSM left their powder surf and skis behind in Hokkaido last year.
Parker, on the other hand, only left his powder surf and snowboard.

"What?! You're not skiing?"
I asked Parker, and he replied,
"We love skiing, of course, but we also love powder surf and snowboarding!"
As

we chatted, I quickly understood that they were longing for the mellow tree lines and superb snow that Hokkaido is known for.

However, as everyone here in Hokkaido knows, last season's snow conditions were terrible. Yas and I talked with them more than ever before and spent more time with them than last year. We've practically run out of ideas. I

can't wait to see how it all turns out, including the Hokkaido segment that we were involved in.

Parker White enjoyed the light snow of northern Hokkaido with a powder surf. Yasuyuki Shimanuki, a photographer residing in Niseko, accompanied him for four days during the shoot, participating as a photographer, second movie camera operator, and drone operator. The drone footage that concludes the teaser was shot by him. We look forward to seeing how the other footage is incorporated into the final work. Photo/Yasuyuki Shimanuki (@blauproduction)
