Here are 7 films you absolutely must see

No,1 GOOD LUCK - A Jossi Wells & Torin Yater Wallace Film

Josie Wells and Torin Yatter Wallace, longtime top freestyle riders, return with their second backcountry project.
This time, they're joined by rising star Burke Irving in halfpipe and Chris Logan, who was active in "THE BIG PICTURE series," making them even more powerful.
The filming was handled by Chris's brother, Sean Logan. The film showcases big jumps and deep powder in the backcountry of Wyoming and Idaho, as well as scenes of them sessioning at a specially constructed park in Aspen, Colorado.
Many of the staff are also experienced riders, and you can feel the extraordinary attention to detail in the filming, editing, riding, and trick selection.

No.2 The Bunch - LOVE YOU TOO

As the 2020s began, the overall skill level of riders continued to rise. However, fewer riders possessed a unique and distinctive style that made them instantly recognizable.
Amidst this trend, The Bunch's work has established a consistent style through its high level of originality and creativity.
One of the crew members, Alex Hackel, won a silver medal at the X Games RealSki 2021, and this release, coming just six months later, contains an incredible amount of footage. Despite years of breaking conventions with their riding, they continue to push the boundaries with their tricks. The skillful use of music and visuals creates an immersive experience, making you feel as if you're right there with them. Street
skiing may be an unfamiliar world to most readers, but this work is especially recommended for those who feel that "a lot of skiing videos look the same."

No,3 Markus Eder's The Ultimate Run - The Most Insane Ski Run Ever Imagined

Marcus Eder, an Italian slopestyle athlete who represented Japan at the Sochi Olympics and is the 2019 Freeride World Tour series champion,
has created a film that has garnered attention not only from skiers and snowboarders, but also from a wider audience, with some segments even airing on Japanese talk shows.
From the peaks of Zermatt to glaciers and ice caves, from perfectly groomed parks to urban rides around ancient castles, he uses every skill at his disposal to carve lines with effortless freedom.
Even when using fat skis that prioritize stability at high speeds, his flowing style is flawless, with no hesitation in the intricate movements he displays in rail spin tricks and taps.
The film was produced by Legs of Steel, a company that has released high-quality works in the past.
If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out!

No,4 BRAP SKI 1 - FULL FILM (4K Ultra HD) - CRAZY KARL

Blap skiing is skiing using snowmobiles.
Carl Fostvett and his friends access the vast American backcountry on snowmobiles, create huge jumps, and play freely. This film captures their lifestyle. At first
glance, it looks like a typical ski movie, but what's remarkable is the variety of drone footage. There have been many films that have used drone shots before, but this one is packed with such high-level footage that it makes them all look old.
Various angles are used to express the overwhelming sense of speed, the vastness of the field, and the style of each rider, and it's simply cool.
It seems that there are a small number of people in Japan who enjoy skiing and snowboarding using snowmobiles. I would like to try it someday too.

No,5 Burrrlapz | Touch The Snow | A Video About Carving

Dylan Siggers and Burrrlapz's latest film, "Touch The Snow," combines classic turns with a fresh, modern style.
It captures the universal joy and beauty of skiing.
The exhilarating feeling of raking up snow with slide turns and the G-forces of carving turns, the fun of jumping over small bumps and skiing with friends—it makes you want to go skiing again. It evokes fond memories of warming numb hands on a hot night of gentle snowfall with a can of cocoa or corn soup.
Professional riders and ordinary people alike will find plenty to relate to in this film. In a world flooded with countless films each year showcasing incredibly deep powder and mind-blowing action, this nostalgic yet fresh style shines brightly.

No,6 The North Face presents: COALESCE

British skier Josie Wells, who has captivated many with her stylish skiing, and ballerina Chelsea Kiefer have fused skiing and dance movements in a duet that expresses the precision of refined technique and the beauty inherent within it. It is
now commonplace to see action sports such as skateboarding used in advertisements on the streets and on television. Not only that, but skateboarding is increasingly seen in advertisements for high-end brands, and the lines between high-end brands and streetwear have become blurred.
This work, produced as an advertisement for The North Face, is undoubtedly a masterpiece within this trend.
Action sports have aspects of both leisure and competition, as well as an art form that is based on physical actions and movements, and many photographs and videos have been commercially produced based on this. In contrast to this, the work contrasts it with ballet, a less commercial form of performing arts.
This work, which expresses skiing in an unprecedented way as art, is definitely worth "appreciating".

No.7 Yuhei Yamada's “Guilty Pleasure” part

"Guilty Pleasure" is the latest video part from Yuhei Yamada, also known as "Kun-san."
Since filming on the streets before his previous work "Komainu," almost all of the cameramen and crew members who ride with him have naturally become skaters or snowboarders. Their camerawork, spot choices, and Yamada's skiing style, influenced by their riding, have a unique worldview. This work includes not only street scenes but also scenes on a giant pillow line. The music is handled by "rira" and "Rakutensai," who are also active as DJs and are part of the same crew as Yamada. The
passionate MCs over neoclassical beats are also one of the "highlights."

Street style

No.8 Nomadic, Quebec

This is a season edit of Canadian ski bum Jeremy Goldy.
It showcases Jeremy's skiing at famous street spots in Quebec, Canada.
Several brands of skis are used in the video, suggesting he is unsponsored. The video begins with a scene of him self-filming a car with a drone, and there are many scenes that appear to be shot by himself using stationary cameras.
Filming street skiing entirely by yourself means having to confront fear and the helplessness of not being able to land the tricks head-on. The fact that he has captured such a variety of shots using stationary cameras shows that he must have a truly strong passion for skiing.
This is a passionate work that breaks the stereotype that "you need to be a rider to ski street... and you need someone to film you..."

No.9 Siver Voll street 20/21

He can freely switch between rails and perform spins. It's no exaggeration to say that he's one of the best rail riders in the world. That's Siber Foll from Norway.
Siber has previously showcased his talent in the park, but in this new street video, he performs an incredible series of tricks in the same style. With long rails that look like something out of a video game, this video fully demonstrates the riding style of the Instagram generation.
Be sure to check out his park videos and Instagram as well.
You're guaranteed to be hooked by the unbelievable number of tricks.

No.10 "SECURITY NOTICE" alex hall

This is a full street part from Alex Hall, the winner of REALSKI 2021. It goes without saying that it features a variety of hammer tricks. Street
skiing videos tend to be serious. The fatigue accumulated from the shovel work of preparation each time, the fear of not being able to do the tricks you're aiming for, the frequent stops on set due to being scolded... Compared to snowboarding videos, skiing videos have always had fewer playful scenes. Recently, with the rise of social media, videos have become shorter, and even in snowboarding, there is less room to include playful elements. However
, Alex, while pushing the limits more than anyone else, never forgets that playful spirit.
Not just in this video, but he expresses the joy of skiing. If he is not in charge of editing, he chooses tricks that are playful.
Alex boasts high achievements in competitions and also exudes a "bright" presence in his video expression.
He is steadily gaining recognition as a next-generation superhero.

No. 11 Forrmula

In Scandinavia, snow falls even in the cities, making winter sports a very familiar part of life.
The young Finnish crew, Fore, combines the immense power of their winch with their unconventional thinking to create a frenzied, almost frenzied, attack on the city streets. Scenes of sculptures and residential areas in central Helsinki convey the Finnish people's familiarity with and tolerance for skiing. They confidently complete even quite large sections.
This film stands out for its bold and dynamic use of location. While many large-scale snow-covered construction projects are likely to be scrapped after being criticized, these large sections are undeniably exciting to watch.

It's also great that they're taking a different direction from the crews at THE BUNCH, SUEDE, and Harlaut Apparel. Right now, the street ski scene is really hot in Scandinavia

No.12 Suéde - Rip in Pieces

Peyben won the silver medal at Real Ski 2019, but this film was shot by Emil Larson, the filmmaker who shot that event. Suede is a type of tanned leather, and also another name for Sweden.
The style is heavily influenced by "THE BUNCH," which was introduced in No. 2, but it has its own unique style in terms of trick choices, editing, and soundtrack.
I apologize for nitpicking, but this film includes breakbeats in the background music. This is something that can only be chosen if you are familiar with European rave culture, and there is a brief insert of a party scene. The nightlife of young people differs greatly in Europe, North America, and Asia. It is interesting to catch glimpses of various cultures.
The creative devices scattered throughout the film and the shocking tricks suggest the emergence of new talent. In particular, Oliver Karlberg, the winner of Level 1 SuperUnknown XIV, shows off an amazing run. He also appeared in THE BUNCH - Love You Too, and his run is memorable in both films.

No,13 Simon Bartik - Slav and Friends FULL MOVIE

This project, filmed over two seasons by Simon Bartik, features appearances by Daniel Hanka, the boss of Czech skiers. From the streets of Prague to young skiers showcasing their skills in the park, and sessions at closed ski resorts in the spring,
the film is packed with creative ideas.
Filming ski lines (following continuous jib tricks) is more difficult than filming skateboarding due to the faster speed range, but the film makes excellent use of shots that can only be captured with a 360 camera. The film also demonstrates creativity in its filmmaking techniques, such as animation drawn onto live-action footage and the skillful integration of photographs into the video, making it endlessly engaging. This
is a film that allows you to fully enjoy the Czech style, which has not been very well known in Japan until now.

No,14 "WUN" Harlaut Apparel Co. | Full Video

This is a team movie for Harlow Apparel. Harlow refers to Henrik Harlow, the darling of freeskiing.
The team is comprised of formidable individuals who embody a dope style.
It's rare to see a brand these days that has such a strong sense of unity in its team building.
Even after Henrik retires, the style he established will likely be carried on and live on as a meme. This video gives you that kind of expectation.
