On February 7th (Tue), "TOYO TIRES FWT QUALIFIER 4* HAKUBA 2023" was held in Hakuba Village in fine weather.
Since FWT came to Japan in 2017, it will be held for the first time on the so-called “Mixed Long,” which was the first candidate slope.
This slope is generally north-facing, with rocky areas and northwest and northeast slopes mixed together, and the snow quality varies greatly depending on the amount of sunlight. The slopes were so difficult that they became a candidate site for the FWT, so the contestants showed off their high-level riding skills.
