On Tuesday, February 7th, under clear skies, the "TOYO TIRES FWT QUALIFIER 4* HAKUBA 2023" was held in Hakuba Village. This
was the first time the event was held on the slope known as "Mixed Long," which had been the top candidate since the FWT came to Japan in 2017. This slope is generally north-facing, with rocky areas and a mix of northwest and northeast slopes, resulting in significant changes in snow quality depending on the sunlight.
As a slope that was considered a candidate for an FWT event, the participating athletes showcased high-level riding skills.
