Yu Sasaki is based in Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada.
He was active in both competitions and filming for Heartfilms, but after competing in the FWT in 2019, he became known around the world.
After competing in the FWT, he got the chance to work with international movie production companies and cinematographers, including Sammy Carlson, and gradually shifted his focus from competitions to filming.
Just when things were going smoothly, he suffered a serious injury in 2022, tearing his Achilles tendon.
The video "EAGLE PASS," released today, February 2nd, tells the story of his recovery from the injury, with himself as the storyteller. The video won the Thrill category at the Outside Magazine Awards, an American movie awards show.

By the way, the title "EAGLE PASS" was chosen because it was the place where most of the filming took place.
