HIMARAK is a Japanese brand founded in 2009. Based on the spirit of BACK TO NATURE, its products are made using domestically sourced materials and Japanese sewing techniques.
The sewing factory is located in Kagawa Prefecture, and the leather is tanned in Nara Prefecture. HIMARAK gloves are basically made of cowhide, but some models also use deerskin. The use of deerskin is inspired by the "hand grip" used in kendo glove gloves, and is used in models where greater dexterity is desired. As a brand, it promotes "the appeal of leather gloves." They are characterized by their durability, longevity, timeless and simple design, and supple construction.
One of the distinguishing features of HIMARAK gloves is the comprehensive repair support, made possible by domestic production, which allows users to cherish and use the gloves for a long time. For this reason, HIMARAK gloves have a large number of enthusiastic fans, and recently, the appeal of their quality and feel has been spreading from snowboarders to skiers. Top freeride athlete Mirai Nakagawa and his mentor, Tokunori Sasaki of FACTION/Phaenom, are also fans, and the company incorporates feedback from riders regarding the feel and functionality of the gloves into its product development
