26-27 Brand and Lineup Highlights

Still popular! The "POMOCA SKIN COLLECTION" offers a variety of options to suit your tour style

The "POMOCA SKIN COLLECTION," which underwent a complete renewal in the 2024-25 season, will continue to be offered in the 2026-27 season due to its high level of perfection and reliability

The core of the lineup consists of "TOUR" for long tours and "FREERIDE" for freeride skiers. Adding "SPLITBOARD" for splitboards and "RACE" for skimo racing, the lineup comprises four categories, offering a total of 10 models to suit various user needs and skill levels

One of Pomoca's advantages is that it clearly displays the performance of each model using numerical values. It clearly indicates "GLIDE (kcal/h)," which shows the walking energy consumption per hour and gliding efficiency (the lower the number, the less resistance there is and the easier it is to move), and "GRIP (g/cm²)," which shows the grip strength per cm².
This makes it easy to accurately compare performance and choose a model that suits the type of terrain you want to enjoy.

Update points

While the lineup itself is a carryover, the functionality has steadily evolved. The main points of the update are the approach to further weight reduction and the adoption of next-generation materials that provide high waterproof performance while minimizing the environmental impact

SSL (SAFER SKIN LIGHT)

The tour-oriented skin material "SSL" achieves a 12% weight reduction compared to previous models while maintaining waterproof performance

"SSUL (SAFER SKIN ULTRA LIGHT)," the highest-grade material that further refines "SSL," is about 20% lighter than SSL and has succeeded in reducing the storage volume by about 30%. It combines ultimate lightness, flexibility, and high durability, and is used in the expert-grade "FREE PRO."

EVER DRY 3.0

Building upon "EVER DRY 2.0," which avoids the use of environmentally harmful PFOA (perfluoroctanoic acid) during waterproofing, we have further evolved to "EVER DRY 3.0," a next-generation environmentally friendly water-repellent technology that completely eliminates all fluorine compounds. This technology prevents moisture absorption, keeps the skin from becoming heavy, and prevents snow from sticking

All models come pre-installed with top and tail fixes. The ease of use is also a major draw, as the tedious cutting process can be completed in as little as 10 minutes using the trimming cutter

BRAND features

POMOCA has been making a name for itself in Japan's backcountry ski scene as a leading brand of ski seals. Its roots date back 150 years, to the 1870s. The Dufour family, who ran hotels, were the first in Switzerland to use skis and hosted numerous ski competitions. In the 1930s, second-generation owner Louis Dufour developed and sold the Gaillard Dufour rescue sled, which could be used with skis and poles to transport injured people. His son, Eric Dufour, developed and began producing removable non-slip skins, which would become the basis for today's POMOCA skins

POMOCA manufactured its first non-slip skin using mohair in 1939. Since then, for over 80 years, the company has continued to develop its technology and provide high-quality products. POMOCA is the brand of choice for mountain professionals, including athletes in ski races around the world, as well as mountain guides and mountain rescue teams. This is due to the strong trust the company has earned by consistently listening to the voices of athletes and experts since its founding and striving to create ever-better products
