The "POISSON" adopts the Gas Pedal Metal structure of the "BLADE" and fuses it with OPTIC's "Overdrive" technology. It has been tuned to match the playful spirit of the CONCEPT series. This original hybrid design philosophy blends precision and playfulness to achieve a new level of gliding performance and feel, making it a board that can truly be called the "scalpel of freeride."
The TITANAL SHAPE features a full Titanal strip at the bottom to enhance stability during turns. Rather than being a full-length metal structure, the metal is strategically placed in sections, resulting in a supple, responsive feel throughout the ski that is not found in heavy, metal-reinforced skis.
The rocker profile and flat camber of the "POISSON" board feature a traditional early rise at the tip, ensuring smooth turn initiation and buoyancy. Meanwhile, the camber underfoot is a nearly flat convex design. This is the result of meticulous calculations to avoid the feeling of "catching too much" when combining a strong sidecut with camber.
The STEP TAIL design is inspired by surfboard designs. It features a structure where the contact surface with the snow is cut at specific points. This improves tail release, dramatically enhancing control performance such as quick slashes and releases in the latter half of turns. Depending on the rider's imagination, it offers the freedom to use pivots, sprays, and edging as needed, while maintaining sufficient buoyancy in powder.
