The roots of CAPiTA

In the year 2000, in Seattle, USA, a brand was born thanks to two riders, Jason Brown and Blue Montgomery. That brand was CAPiTA. Distinguishing itself from existing brands at the time, its starting point was a DIY spirit of "creating products from the perspective of snowboarders themselves." With a rebellious spirit of "not being afraid to be different," they have thoroughly focused on creating boards that bring out the individuality of the rider, rather than just being tools for riding

The brand name comes from "per-capita" (per person), reflecting the philosophy of catering to the individuality of each person. At their core is not just focusing on performance specifications, but also incorporating the rider's sensibilities and style into the design. This is why they have strong bonds with their diverse team of riders, and why their products strongly reflect the "differences that suit each individual."

This initial passion to "create the ideal board for riders ourselves" extended to the manufacturing process. This resulted in their own integrated production factory, "The MotherShip™," built in Feistlitz, Austria

This world-leading facility operates on 100% clean energy, utilizing solar power and hydroelectric power generated through collaboration with local communities. The entire process, from molding to finishing, is completed under one roof, allowing for direct control of the manufacturing process and guaranteeing unparalleled quality. There is absolutely no compromise on sustainability, including the use of reforested wood and plant-derived resins. While minimizing environmental impact to the absolute minimum, they continue to produce the highest quality boards. Making the boards riders truly want, in an ideal environment, with their own hands—that's where CAPiTA stands today
