JONES' roots

JONES is a brand founded by Jeremy Jones, a pioneer of big mountain snowboarding in the USA. Jeremy is also well known as a protégé of the famous filmmaker Teton Gravity Research (TGR) and as the founder of POW, a global organization working on climate change. His extensive experience, gained from knowing the world's snow-covered mountains and carving lines in extreme mountain terrain for decades, forms the foundation of JONES' product design

JONES operates under the philosophy that "changing your board changes the mountain." Their idea is that choosing the optimal board for each snow condition and terrain creates harmony with the mountain. This philosophy forms the basis for their wide range of categories, including powder, freeride, freestyle, and splitboards

Regarding development, he says, "There are no shortcuts. We try things out ourselves, learn, and put all our effort into it," and the cycle of testing prototypes in extreme environments and making improvements has continued uninterrupted since the company's founding

Alongside product development, the brand's core philosophy is called "Eco-Performance." All boards are manufactured using 100% solar power, reducing CO2 emissions by 89% compared to conventional methods. Only wood sourced under sustainable forest management is used for the wood core, and all boards have received the industry's first Fair Trade certification

Prioritizing performance and durability while minimizing environmental impact, JONES' stance is that "the longer the gear lasts, the less waste is produced." This commitment to continuously incorporating feedback gained from extreme field conditions into their designs is what defines this brand

The next-generation binding system "FASE®" is now available in three models!

Following the sensational debut of "Mercury FASE®" in the 25-26 season, two more models, "Zenith FASE®" and "Nebula FASE®," will be added for the 26-27 season. This brings the total number of FASE® system models to three

The three models have clear distinctions. The Zenith FASE® features a carbon injection construction and a stiff flex setting of 5/5, making it a freeride model for advanced to expert riders

The Mercury FASE® is a mid-stiff board with a flex of 4/5, suitable for all-mountain and freeride riding. The Nebula FASE® is softer with a flex of 2/5, ideal for freestyle-oriented riders who frequently use tweaks and slashes

The complete picture of FASE®

At the heart of FASE® are three components: The AutoBack, The FastStrap, and The Locked-In Toe Strap

The AutoBack is a hands-free mechanism that automatically closes when you put your boot inside and opens when you lift it

The FastStrap features a long ankle ladder, allowing for quick, one-handed strap-on

The Locked-In Toe Strap stays in place once set and can be readjusted while riding

The FASE® system's unique feature lies in its significantly reduced fastening time while maintaining the secure hold and ease of use of traditional two-strap boots. Unlike step-in boots, it does not require special boots, allowing users to continue using their existing boot collection

Two noteworthy boards from the Surf Series: "TwinCraft" and "Mind Expander 2.0"

This season, there are two major changes to the JONES Surf Series: the new TwinCraft model and the completely redesigned Mind Expander 2.0

The TwinCraft is a new hybrid board that combines a volume-shifted powder shape with the freestyle capabilities unique to twin fins. The profile features true camber + powder kicks, achieving a balance of buoyancy and rebound. The extra-wide twin outline ensures effortless lift whether riding switch or regular

TwinCraft

True camber + Pawkicks
Low 3D Contour Base,
Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer + Master Core,
Flex: 3/5,
Size: Available in 5 sizes from 146 to 162 cm (unisex)
, ¥120,000 (¥132,000 including tax)

The Mind Expander 2.0, on the other hand, is a completely redesigned version of a model that has garnered strong support from core riders. It now features a directional camber/rocker profile, with camber underfoot to ensure stability and edge grip, while the rocker in the nose generates buoyancy in powder

The combination of a tapered directional shape and dual-radius flip tip improves turning agility. The High 3D Contour Base (a 3D base shape with a spoon bevel of 7mm at the nose and up to 7mm at the tail) reduces catching on the snow surface and lowers resistance while skiing

The internal structure incorporates a Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer (a stringer that combines the resilience of carbon with the vibration absorption of flux) and is combined with a Master Core (a lightweight yet highly durable wood core made of poplar and paulownia in a 1:1 ratio). All wood used is sourced under sustainable forest management practices

Mind Expander 2.0

Directional camber/rocker,
High 3D Contour Bass,
Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer + Master Core,
Flex: 3/5,
Size: Available in 7 sizes from 142 to 166 cm (unisex)
, ¥120,000 (¥132,000 including tax)

While the TwinCraft is a model geared towards powder and freestyle "play," the Mind Expander 2.0 is a redesigned model that adds versatility for all-mountain riding. With two boards of different characteristics now available in the Surf Series, the range of choices has expanded

The Howler Splitboard: A fusion of backcountry and freestyle

Men's Howler Splitboard
Size: Available in 3 sizes: 158, 160W, 161 (Men's sizes)
¥210,000 (¥231,000 including tax)

Women's Howler Splitboard
Size: Available in two sizes: 148 and 151 (suitable for women)
¥210,000 (¥231,000 including tax)

The Howler is a directional freeride board designed by Victor De La Rue and Elena Height. It has already gained a strong following, and this season's new Howler Splitboard extends that design philosophy to a splitboard

The profile features High Power Camber (a full camber structure with high camber across the entire snow-contacting surface). The camber rising towards the tail enhances landing stability and propulsion when the rear foot presses down. The shape is tapered directional, and 3D Flip Tips reduce snow resistance at the nose and tail

The internal structure combines Koroyd® and Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer with Triax fiberglass, achieving both vibration absorption and high-speed stability. Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0 are standard equipment, ensuring precise board joining during splits

The main features can be summarized as follows:

  • Profile: High Power Camber, Flex 4/5
  • Shape: Tapered Directional + 3D Flip Tips
  • Terrain suitability: Steeps/Couloirs 9/10, Deep Powder 8/10, Touring 8/10
  • Clips: Karakoram Ultra Clips 2.0

What sets this splitboard apart from typical freeride splits is its superior freestyle suitability. It's designed not only for turns on steep slopes, but also for natural hits in the backcountry and airs on pillows. It's a proposal for riders who want a board they can "play" with even after climbing on tour and dropping in
