NIDECKER's roots and manufacturing philosophy

In 1887, when Henri Nidecker established a woodworking workshop in Switzerland, a brand was born. Their initial work involved manufacturing farm equipment and wagon wheels. The skill of precisely bending and shaping wood was accumulated during this early period. In the 20th century, taking advantage of their location at the foot of the Alps, they shifted their focus to manufacturing wooden skis. Then, in 1984, when the new culture of snowboarding was just beginning to spread globally, NIDECKER was quick to release the first snowboard to the world

NIDECKER is one of the oldest and most established snowboard brands still in operation in Europe. The Nidecker family has managed the company for five generations since its founding, maintaining its independent family ownership, which is quite rare in this industry. Their headquarters, where design and manufacturing take place, are still located overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva in Switzerland

And a product that symbolizes NIDECKER in recent years is the Supermatic® Binding, which redefined the binding market in the 2020s

NIDECKER's riding philosophy of "Step in, ride out (step in and start immediately!)" gave birth to this innovative product. The world's first system that allows you to ride simply by sliding your foot into the binding and pressing down with your heel, and that can be combined with boots from any brand, had a huge impact on the entire snowboarding industry

In board development, the accumulation of proprietary technologies continues. The flagship model, "Megalight," features a fifth-generation structure combining forged carbon and 3D molding. Simultaneously developed is "Orbital Cushioning™," which reduces vibrations generated at the connection point between the binding and the board (around the insert).
