Introducing "Nallo," a new line long-awaited by touring enthusiasts
For the 26-27 season, Haglöfs announced "Nallo," a new series that redefines alpine performance, in line with their strengthening of the touring category. Based on the classic Vassi model, it was developed based on prototype testing by Åre ambassadors and athletes, and their feedback. It pursues to the extreme "lightweight," "breathability," and "intuitive functionality" required in the harsh mountain environments of Scandinavia
This series, which proposes a structural layering approach, features four items: a shell jacket and pants, a mid-layer, and a down jacket. Women's models with different colors and silhouettes are also available, and the layering, which combines the highest quality materials, delivers maximum synergy and performance
shell
This series, named after the rugged, needle-like mountains of Njállu in the Lapland region of northern Sweden, is characterized by its fusion of advanced materials engineering and digital technology. The main shell uses a 3-layer GORE-TEX fabric made from lightweight and flexible 30-denier recycled material with tear-resistant ripstop. It boasts a water pressure resistance of over 28,000mm and excellent breathability, achieving high durability while remaining lightweight
Nallo Touring GTX Jacket Men
This lightweight jacket features adjustable hood, cuffs, and hem, and incorporates thoughtful details to reduce stress, from the angle of the ventilation to the pocket size and zipper opening direction
Furthermore, the "Pertex Diamond Fuse" construction enhances abrasion resistance and tear strength, providing robust protection even in harsh environments. Another notable feature is the first-ever adoption of Twiceme® technology (a safety support system using NFC short-range wireless communication chips) that allows for instant access to medical information in emergencies
Nallo Touring GTX Pants Men
These lightweight snow pants are packed with practical features useful in backcountry settings, including an adjustable Velcro waistband and belt loops, a ergonomic cut for ease of movement, side ventilation, snow gaiters, and durable reinforced edges on the inside of the hems. Like the jacket, they feature Twiceme® technology
The mid-layer utilizes "Octa," a unique material with a hollow, radial cross-section. It offers excellent breathability and quick-drying properties, preventing overheating during uphill hikes while maintaining a consistently dry and comfortable feel
Nallo Touring Hybrid Mid Men
This mid-layer combines "Pertex Quantum," which offers excellent windproof and abrasion-resistant properties, with "Octa," which features a tentacle-shaped cross-section with eight hollow fibers, resulting in superior moisture absorption, quick drying, and heat insulation, providing excellent warmth to the core of the body
Compared to the standard 600FP (fill power: an indicator of how easily down can be lofted), this jacket uses lightweight, high-quality 800FP goose down. Furthermore, instead of conventional water-repellent treatments using chemicals, it is treated with a special process called "ExpeDRY," which involves coating the down with gold recovered from discarded electronic circuit boards. This makes it quick-drying even when it absorbs moisture and helps maintain its volume
Nallo Touring Down Hood Men
Featuring the new water-repellent technology "ExpeDRY" and high-quality goose down, this lightweight down jacket offers excellent quick-drying properties and extremely high heat retention, even in harsh mountain environments
Fabric: Outer shell: 100% recycled polyamide, Filling: 90% goose down, 10% feathers. Features: Ultra-lightweight and highly durable 10D and 20D Pertex Quantum fabric , 800 fill power ExpeDRY goose down , Box-wall baffle construction to prevent cold air from entering, Adjustable helmet-compatible hood , Brushed chin guard , Insulated 2-way center front zipper , Multiple outer pockets , Reflectors. Introducing "The Dream Kit," a collaboration model with 1000skis that compromises neither function nor style
Although not available in Japan, a collaboration model with 1000skis has also been released. 1000skis is a Swedish ski brand founded in 2021 by members of the professional skiing group "The Bunch," and is known for its rider-driven development and commitment to sustainability
The collaboration began with an idea and hand-drawn sketches from co-founder and Haglöfs rider Magnus Granér. The joint development aimed to create apparel that seamlessly blends freeskiing style and functionality, making it suitable for wear from the streets to the backcountry
The jackets feature a boxy fit and lightweight, baggy silhouette. They also boast high-positioned pockets for easy access when wearing a backpack, adjustable suspenders at the chest, a high bib to prevent snow from entering, an internal mesh pocket for storing skins and goggles, a helmet-compatible hood, and double Velcro hems designed for crampon use. Every detail is meticulously designed based on actual skiing experience
Furthermore, the kit achieves both expressiveness and sustainability by making effective use of the 3-layer PROOF material that was left over at the factory. It is truly a "dream kit" where Haglöfs' technical craftsmanship intersects with modern freeskiing culture. This collaboration is aimed at a new generation of skiers who seamlessly move between the backcountry and the streets
"Standard Issue Black," a joint project with Polartec
Haglöfs is strengthening its efforts not only in product development but also in material development and sustainability. One example is the "Standard Issue Black" project in collaboration with Polartec. This initiative aims to reduce waste in dyeing lots, chemical use, and ordering by establishing a common black color, in response to the current situation in the outdoor industry where each brand dyes similar blacks individually
The lightweight Polartec® microfleece, made from 100% recycled polyester, will be used in the "Buteo Mid II Jacket," a lightweight mid-layer suitable for various activities throughout all seasons, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability. This is not merely a color suggestion, but a sustainable project that re-examines the production process itself, showcasing the brand's progressive stance
Founded in 1914 in Torsson, a rural town in the Dalarna region of Sweden, when Viktor Haglöf hand-stitched a backpack, Haglöfs has developed from its roots in creating functional and simple bags for workers in the Swedish forests. Throughout its more than 100-year history, Haglöfs has maintained its core values of using carefully selected, high-quality materials and constructing durable, robust bags. The brand's message is "The greatest playground ever made." Haglöfs has won numerous international awards, including ISPO Awards and Outdoor Industry Awards, and its quality and design are highly recognized worldwide
