The connecting lift will begin operation around December 2023
A long-awaited connecting lift between Alts Bandai and Nekoma Ski Resorts will be built. Alts Bandai is located on the southern slope of the Bandai mountain range, while Nekoma Ski Resort is located on the northern slope. Each resort has different runs, snow quality, and scenery. Until now, the only way to travel between the two resorts was via a snow-covered walking route that took about 15 minutes
The construction of the connecting lift has been in the planning stages since 2008, and has now been officially announced as the construction permit application is now in sight. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2023, with operation scheduled to begin in December

This connecting lift will be a pair lift that will run from the Black Valley Express stop at Alts Bandai to the Excite Cat Chair stop at Nekoma Ski Resort. It will be approximately 785m long and take about seven minutes to reach the destination
The opening of the connecting lift will make it easier than ever to travel between the two ski resorts, and it is expected to become one of the largest ski resorts in Japan, with 13 lifts and 33 courses to enjoy
More details will be announced on the official website in the future, so be sure to check it out
