ATOMIC's new models for the 2024-25 season are the MAVERICK 115 CTI and the reborn BACKLAND 109 and 102 (women's models are the BACKLAND 108W and 101W). An impression video has been posted on the official ATOMIC YouTube channel
The "MAVERICK" series is more specialized for freeriding, and the lineup has been completely revamped for the '24-25 season. The inclusion of titanium sheets gives it a substantial weight, which provides stability and performance on uneven terrain and after jumps. In addition, the "115 CTI" and "105 CTI" models feature HRZN 3D on the sides, and the three-dimensional tip shape increases the surface area of the board, creating a floating sensation in deep snow
The BACKLAND was previously a model aimed at high-level skiers such as tour guides, but the 109 and 102 models feature HRZN 3D at the top for weight reduction and a higher tail rocker ratio, making it easier to control speed and suitable for skiers of all skill levels
ATOMIC riders Yu Sasaki and Takeshi Kodama rave about these skis, calling them "arguably the strongest skis" and "the best backcountry model." They were among the first to test these skis this winter and share their impressions, from the skis' performance to their optimal setup. Be sure to check out these two riders' take on this must-have model for the 2024-2025 season
