The snow goggles equipped with bone conduction earphones and Bluetooth intercom technology, previously sold as "IceBRKR," have been renamed "bone," and pre-sales of the latest 2023-2024 model have begun via crowdfunding
"bone" is an Italian brand that is the world's first to incorporate bone conduction earphones and Bluetooth intercom technology into snow goggles. These gadgets allow you to connect with friends, enjoy conversations, and listen to your favorite music while skiing. They have been on sale in Japan since January 2021, and their previous crowdfunding campaign raised a total of over 33 million yen
The main function of "bone" is to enable conversations with up to six people at a distance of approximately 700m via group intercom. In addition to listening to intercom conversations, bone conduction earphones can be paired with a smartphone and used to listen to your favorite music. What's more, you can receive and make calls and use voicemail hands-free without removing your goggles or gloves. Another benefit is that the earphones are not directly attached to your ears, so you can use them without blocking out surrounding sounds
For the 2023-2024 season, a white frame and two new lenses, pink and green, have been added to the lineup. These colors are likely to be popular with women as well
This crowdfunding campaign will run on GREENFUNDING from Thursday, April 13th to Monday, May 15th, 2023. The planned retail price for "bONE" is 36,300 yen, but by supporting the crowdfunding campaign, you can purchase it at a special price of up to 38% off, and a set of three is also available to share with friends
