"Freeriding will bring peace to the world," says Patagonia ski ambassador Takuma Oike with a straight face. While freeriding is increasingly becoming a competitive sport, Oike and his friends have cultivated a handcrafted freeriding culture of mutual respect and improvement. Following the journey of Takuma Oike, who has honed his freeriding spirit while traveling the world, we will unravel the "essence" and "potential" of freeriding, which involves freely skiing down natural snow-covered mountains.
At this event, Takuma Oike and Sayaka Kato will be invited as guests, and after a preview screening of the film, they will discuss the current state of freeriding, its future possibilities, and the thoughts behind it.

Takuma Oike, the son of skier Takuma
Oike, began skiing as soon as he stood up. He started competing in moguls in junior high school, finding immense joy in playing on the mashes and cliffs leading up to the mogul course. He visited Hakuba during a university training camp and was so captivated by the grandeur of the towering mountains that he decided to move there. More drawn to exciting the audience than the joy of standing on the podium, he now works as a mountain freestyle skier. Based in Hakuba, he continues to hone his skills throughout Japan and overseas, constantly challenging himself to forge his own unique lines and explore new worlds.
