In addition to expanding the powder area, the area for non-skiers has also been strengthened
Hakuba Iwatake Snowfield, which continues to make great strides both in summer and winter, including HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, has been delivering exciting news for this season
◇A wide range of areas perfect for skiers
The old lift was removed last season, and the ungroomed snow areas have been expanded this season. Along the old Hikage Lift and the old View 1 Lift, light powder snow accumulates, making it a delight for powder lovers. Located on Iwatake, the only free-standing peak in the Hakuba area, the View Course has been built, giving you the feeling that you are skiing towards the Northern Alps. It looks like you will have an even more enjoyable freeriding experience
Additionally, a park with kickers, waves, rails, boxes, and more will be permanently set up on the South slope this season. This slope is also known for its spectacular views, and you can enjoy a wide variety of equipment and tricks to your heart's content
◇A variety of areas where even non-skiers can enjoy a day on the snowy mountains

Last season, about 10% of all visitors to Iwatake were non-skiers. This season, Iwatake has opened a snow outdoor area called "IWATAKE WHITE PARK" aimed at such non-skiers. Located at the summit, this area features snow huts, snow walls, and a photo spot called the "Relax & Photogenic Zone." Other attractions include a "Pet Zone" where you can enjoy time with your dog, and a "Playing Zone" where you can safely take lessons on snowshoeing or even for first-time skiing or snowboarding. More courses have been created than last season, allowing visitors to enjoy the snow while wandering around, so you can enjoy the snowy mountains all day long

The observation area "Hakuba Hitotoki no Mori" (near the starting point of the 5th Line South Lift), which opened in spring 2022, and "CHAVATY HAKUBA," where you can enjoy tea lattes and freshly baked scones, are both easily accessible even for non-skiers, allowing you to take a break while looking out at the snow-capped mountains
◇ Early bird season tickets will go on sale from October 1st
Season passes are on sale at early bird prices and come with a plethora of great perks, including free drinks, free hot spring bathing, restaurant discounts, and discounts on lift tickets and rentals for companions. The repeat discount also applies to those who held season passes at ski resorts in the HAKUBA VALLEY area last season.
As an option, season pass holders can also take advantage of a ski, boot, and pole storage service, limited to 100 people. (Price: ¥5,000)
