"After making a hometown tax donation, I want to be able to use my lift ticket right away" - now that's possible!
The Hakuba Village Tourism Bureau launched the "Sato Lift" service on January 6, 2025. "Sato Lift" is a service that allows you to easily make hometown tax donations via smartphone and receive lift tickets on the spot
The rewards are lift tickets to three ski resorts: Hakuba Happo-one, Able Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba47, and Hakuba Iwatake
Up until now, it took about a week to receive a lift ticket as a gift in return for hometown tax donations. With Sato Lift, a QR code will appear on your smartphone screen immediately after you make your donation, and you can receive your lift ticket immediately by presenting it at the ticket counter or ticket machine
You can also charge your Hakuba Card!
If you have a Hakuba Card, an IC card that can be recharged repeatedly as a lift ticket, you can load the lift ticket as a gift by scanning the card with your smartphone camera. When loading, there is no need to go through the ticket issuing process, and after making your hometown tax donation, you can go straight to the lift or gondola
