The Niseko area of Hokkaido attracts people from all over the world seeking Japan's proud powder snow, "JAPOW."
Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu will be holding year-end and New Year events in its base area. On New Year's Eve and New Year's Day morning, events that allow you to experience Japanese traditions will be held.
[12/31] A collaboration of over 1,000 fireworks and Yotei Taiko drums
This collaboration event between fireworks and Japanese drums is becoming a regular feature.
The "Yotei Taiko" drums, designated as an intangible folk cultural property of Kutchan Town, play powerful rhythms that respond to the light and roar of the fireworks, and the more than 1,000 fireworks illuminating the night sky feel as if there are tens of thousands of them.

Before or after your Après-ski or other events, be sure to stop by "ALPEN NODE," a newly opened facility in front of the Ace Gondola base station, which houses a brewery, restaurant, and shops. The
"POWDERHOOD RESTAURANT & TAPROOM" within the facility is a large restaurant with 240 seats and a standing area, where you can enjoy food and drinks accompanied by music. It's a lively place to spend time with people who have gathered from all over the world in search of snow.

【1/1】Celebrate the New Year with "New Year's Day Kagami-biraki Ceremony and Free Sake"
On the morning of New Year's Day, a kagami-biraki (sake barrel breaking ceremony) and free sake tasting event will be held in front of the Ace Gondola to celebrate the New Year.
Kagami-biraki is a traditional Japanese ceremony in which the lid of a sake barrel is likened to a "mirror" and performed to pray for harmony, health, and happiness. On the day, a limited number of original masu (wooden sake cups) will be available, and local sake made with the blessings of Hokkaido's nature will be served.

*Free drinks are available to those aged 20 or over who are not driving
