Hoshino Resorts operates two ski resorts, Alts Bandai and Nekoma Ski Resort (Fukushima Prefecture). A long-awaited connecting lift is scheduled to open in the 2023-24 season, connecting the two areas. Until now, access was only possible by foot, but with this increased accessibility, visitors will be able to freely travel between the distinctive slopes of each resort, which has been generating a lot of buzz. Now, the two ski resorts have been reborn as a single resort, and the new name "Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain" has been decided
Hoshino Resorts Nekoma Mountain is the largest ski resort in Japan, combining two ski resorts with 13 lifts and 33 courses. This snow resort, which straddles the north and south of Mt. Nekoma, is characterized by its wide variety of courses and comprehensive facilities that can be enjoyed by everyone from beginners to advanced skiers, including kids trying out snow for the first time
The Bandai area (formerly Alts Bandai) offers a magnificent view of Mt. Bandai and Inawashiro and offers open skiing, while the Urabandai area (formerly Nekoma Ski Resort) is located on a northern slope at a high altitude and receives the finest light snow. The resort is designed to satisfy even the most hardcore skiers, with a long, groomed course of about 2km that can be skied at night, a steep, ungroomed course, and a park that can be enjoyed by all levels and is frequented by world-class skiers
