Hoshinoya brand's first residence hotel opens in Hokkaido
The Hoshinoya brand, which offers an overwhelmingly extraordinary experience throughout Japan with the concept of "relaxing through immersion," will open Hoshinoya Lodge Niseko (tentative name) in Niseko Hirafu
The facility, which is scheduled to open, will be located above the center of Hirafu and will offer ski-in/ski-out access to Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu Ski Resort, one of the largest ski resorts in the Niseko area. In addition to high-quality powder snow, there is a wide variety of slopes and runs. After skiing, there is also a rich nightlife, with plenty of restaurants in Hirafu town to explore
The new facility, Hoshinoya Lodge Niseko (tentative name), is the first residential hotel type to branch off from the Hoshinoya brand. Individual guest rooms will be sold to unit owners, who will participate in a rental program. The owners will use the facility themselves, and outside of that period, Hoshino Resorts will operate the rooms as hotel rooms
The guest rooms are condominium-style and come with separate kitchens, allowing for long-term stays. A living and dining area is provided, allowing for a comfortable snow life. A gathering service is also available, where pre-prepared ingredients are delivered to you
There is also an onsen pool on the top floor of the hotel, which draws water from the hotel's own hot spring, where you can relax both your body and mind while gazing at Mount Yotei
Below are comments from President Hoshino regarding the opening of the new facility
"The location is in an area just above the center of Hirafu. I've been skiing in Niseko for a long time and I've always had my eye on this amazing place, so I was able to get a job in this location. Hirafu is the busiest place in Niseko, with a great townscape and lots of fun. I think ski and snowboard fans will understand the value of this location."
Hoshinoya Lodge Niseko (tentative name) will have a total of 62 rooms and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026. Stay tuned for further updates
