On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, a new mixed-use commercial complex, "Yodobashi-Ikebukuro," will open in Ikebukuro, one of Japan's leading terminal stations. Boasting a sales area of approximately 33,000 square meters, it will be the second largest Yodobashi Camera store in Japan, after the Osaka Umeda store (approximately 36,000 square meters). It will be significantly larger than the flagship store in Akihabara, "Multimedia Akiba" (approximately 22,000 square meters)
The core of the facility is "Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Ikebukuro," which occupies a total of six floors from the basement to the fifth floor above ground. Above that are Ishii Sports/Art Sports. The complex commercial zone "LINKS IKEBUKURO" will feature Yodobashi Golf on the 7th floor and the restaurant floor "LINKS DINING" on the 8th floor. Together with the adjacent Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store, it aims to become a new vibrant hub where the city and people "link" together
Ishii Sports is one of the largest in the Kanto region
Ishii Sports/Art Sports on the 6th floor boasts one of the largest selections in the Kanto region. As expected from Ishii Sports, which originated as a manufacturer of mountaineering boots, the shoe corner, stretching approximately 100 meters, is truly impressive. From beginners to experts, specialist staff will carefully assist you with any footwear concerns or equipment selection needs
Also noteworthy are the repair and maintenance corners offered by the retailers themselves. Shoes and clothing, which accompany you every step of the way, become more cherished the more you use them. Instead of replacing them for minor damage, the stores suggest using them for a long time by having them washed and repaired
In addition, the store will feature 22 popular brands, including "YETI," which will have its first dedicated sales corner in Japan, and "LA SPORTIVA," which will be exhibiting in Asia for the first time. Furthermore, a special "THE NORTH FACE" store will be open on the 7th floor for a limited time until the fall of 2026
From autumn onwards, the ski and snowboard section will be expanded, offering services such as binding installation, boot modification, and custom insole creation. It looks set to become a reliable base for everything from finding off-season training gear to preparing for the start of the season
On the same floor, "Art Sports" offers a wide range of sports equipment, including running gear, tennis equipment, yoga supplies, and swimming equipment. The kids' corner is also well-stocked, with shoes ranging from baby sizes to larger sizes. It's a space where people of all ages can enjoy sports, from children's first sports experience to family outdoor activities
The store is packed with fascinating content that will make you want to stop and browse, such as the "Experience Corner" where you can try out earphones, sunglasses, and athlete watches suitable for exercise, and the "ACG (All Conditions Gear) Corner" by NIKE, which combines practicality for the outdoors with fashionability for the city. Time flies by in no time
The Yodobashi Golf store on the 7th floor is also one of the largest in the area. In addition to a wide variety of clubs, it boasts a selection of golf bags that is about 10 times larger than in a typical store. It also has a fitting room equipped with the world's highest-level ball flight measurement device "TrackMan" and a putting green, and expert fitters are available to help you choose the right clubs

The store's appeal lies in its experiential shopping environment, where customers can try products before making a selection, and the meticulous support provided by expert staff. The camera department on the second floor will feature the first "HASSELBLAD" and "Leica Boutique" in Japan. In addition to seminars by professional photographers, it will also have an action camera section and a flight experience corner
The 8th-floor restaurant area, "LINKS DINING" and "Yodobashi Yokocho," is seeing a succession of new and exciting establishments opening. With 27 restaurants in total, the renowned tsukemen restaurant "Rokurinsha" is opening a new location for the first time in about six and a half years, and "Maimei Maike," a popular restaurant from Chongqing, China, is also making its debut in Japan
The rooftop also features "Grill Pier," one of the largest BBQ areas in Tokyo, with 573 seats. Customers are welcome to bring their own food and drinks, and the area also hosts irregular DJ events such as "YODO GROOVE." The reception counter on the basement floor handles product pick-up from "Yodobashi.com," and is available from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM even outside of regular business hours, making it highly convenient.
Yodobashi-Ikebukuro is packed with so much to see and do that you can't possibly experience it all in one day.
