Skier Masahiro Yamaki will be giving a talk event about his Georgia expedition, titled "To the Slopes of No Return in the Caucasus," on Saturday, October 31st at Ishii Sports Yodobashi Ikebukuro store and on Sunday, November 8th at Links Umeda store. Participation is free, but advance reservations are required
The event will showcase the climbing and skiing expedition to Georgia, home to the Caucasus Mountains. At Yodobashi Ikebukuro, a dialogue will be held with Takuya Mitoro, a mountain climber and mountain photographer who accompanied the expedition and was in charge of filming, under the sub-theme "The Skier, the Photographer: Georgia as Seen by Two People," where they will reflect on the expedition from the perspectives of both a skier and a photographer. At Links Umeda, Yamaki will appear alone
On the day of the event, he will talk about his complete record of the Georgia expedition, the allure of climbing and skiing in the mountains, his encounters with the local culture, food, and people, and his future adventures. It will be an hour where you can experience the record of his expedition, in which he challenged unknown slopes, through powerful photographs and his own words. Why not add it to your weekend plans?
