A new ice slide, "Yoo-Hoo! Ice Slider," has opened at Hakuba Iwatake!

Snow outdoor area "IWATAKE WHITE PARK" is now even more powerful

the 2022-23 winter season, will be introducing the exhilarating ice slide " Yoo-Hoo! Ice Slider" this season.

This ice slide has been added as a new activity this season at IWATAKE WHITE PARK, a winter-only outdoor snow area. The ice slide, made with an abundance of Hakuba snow, has two thrilling courses, one about 35m long (two lanes) and one about 15m long (one lane), set up within the area. The 15m course is located in a location where the Northern Alps can be seen in the background, making it a great spot for taking photos. As you slide down the ice on a sled, the sense of speed is heightened, making this a winter-only activity that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Another great thing about it is that you can try it as many times as you like for free

*For safety reasons, please ski down one at a time. Depending on the ice conditions, the speed of the skiing may increase, so please pay close attention to your own safety. The slope may be closed depending on the weather and snowfall conditions

The ice slides are made by Itofuyu Kougeisha, the company behind ICEBAR NISEKO at Niseko Ice Village

Iwatake White Park is packed with attractions that even non-skiers can enjoy, such as special seats (for a fee) where you can enjoy pressed coffee while warming yourself by a bonfire or Swedish torch, snow sculptures of horses and forest animals associated with Hakuba, an impressive snow wall over 2 meters high, and a snow corridor. It is permanently set up in the "Pet Zone," so you can also bring your beloved dog to enjoy a dog run on the snow. This season, there will also be pet-related item sales and events planned

"THE CITY BAKERY" is a must-visit when visiting Iwatake

THE CITY BAKERY, a popular bakery from New York located next to HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR, a terrace and cafe with a spectacular view of the Northern Alps that has become synonymous with Iwatake, has introduced a new menu item, Focaccia Pizza. Starting this season, a point card system will be introduced whereby points can be accumulated with each visit, and when you collect five points, you can exchange them for a drink

The Kuromoji Sauna, showcasing the essence of Nagano, is born

Hakuba Himekawa Onsen "Iwatake no Yu" near the Gondola Sanroku Station has undergone a partial renovation, allowing you to refresh after a day of skiing or playing. At the same time as the ski resort opens, a "Kuromoji Sauna" using Kuromoji wood from Nagano Prefecture will be introduced. You can wash away the sweat while enjoying the refreshing, invigorating scent of the wood, reminiscent of spices. Also, try the sauna experience that only a snowy country can offer, where you can feel "refreshed" by bathing in the open air surrounded by snow
