A movie and talk event featuring Ishibashi Jin, the star of "Touring the Local Area," a regular feature that has been running in the magazine "Fall Line" for over 15 years, will be held from Friday, December 6th
The first part of the event will be a screening of the short film "Touring the Local Area." It will document the six days spent touring the northern Hokkaido area during "Fall Line 2025." While touring the northern Hokkaido area, participants will enjoy reuniting with old telemark skiing friends
The film is produced by Ebisu Films, known for the "icon" series. Masaki Sekiguchi, the director and cinematographer, has accompanied the entire journey, as well as most of the previous "Local Tours" films, on camera. Nostalgic scenes dug up from the archives of those trips will also be woven into the footage
Part two will be a slide and talk session.
The main speaker will be Hitoshi Ishibashi, and the interviewer will be Chikara Terakura, editor-in-chief of Fall Line. In addition to the two, who have traveled every year without fail since 2009, Masaki Sekiguchi (video) and Yoshiro Higai (photography) are also scheduled to appear. They will look back on their six days in the northern Hokkaido region, which they visited for the latest issue, while viewing photographs.
