Madarao Kogen Ski Resort in Nagano Prefecture is extremely popular with freeride enthusiasts for its superb powder known as "Madapow" and one of Japan's best tree run environments.
While it's incredibly appealing just to ski there, they're also hosting this unique and exciting event until February 13th, 2022 (Sunday).
"Madara Kingdom"is a new activity that combines winter sports and mystery-solving, set at Madarao Kogen Ski Resort. Participants solve mysteries while skiing and find hidden treasures within the resort. It's like an orienteering game where you solve puzzles while sliding down the slopes.
One participation kit allows you to enjoy two courses, one for beginners and one for advanced skiers, making it enjoyable for people of all skill levels, as well as families, couples, and friends.
Simply purchase the participation kit at the reception desk on site to take part. It costs only 500 yen to participate.
Everyone who solves the mystery will receive a reward from Madarao King (a prize for completing the challenge)! Plus, there's a second chance to win treasures from Madarao Plateau (luxurious prizes)!
Also, on Saturdays and Sundays during the event period, the "Kingdom's Table" event will be held next to the second parking lot, featuring food trucks offering delicious local cuisine.

Participation Kit Sales Location & Reporting Point: Special reception area inside Restaurant "Heidi" in the bottom area of the slopes at Madarao Kogen Ski Resort
* Two versions of the kit are available: a Japanese version and an English version.
* The treasure hunt has two difficulty levels: beginner and advanced, but both can be played with the same kit.
* Recommended age: Beginner level 8 years and older, Advanced level 12 years and older.
* The beginner level is for those who can ride the first lift and ski down. The beginner level does not involve searching on the ski slopes, but the advanced level does.
* As this treasure hunt takes place within the ski resort, young children must be accompanied by a guardian.
