The STEEP editorial team visited the 12th Shinshu Forest Festival! 2024 on its opening day, June 29th (Saturday), which was recently featured in the news.

What is Shinshu Mori Festival?

Shinshu Forest Festival! 2024 will be held over two days, from June 29th to 30th.
The Shinshu Forest Festival! is an event that started in 2011 with the aim of providing an opportunity for people to think about the relationship between forests and people, and about living in connection with forests, while having fun in the forest. This year marks the 12th time the event has been held.

The venue is Sugadaira Kogen Petit Hotel Zontack Annex Forest Hall. Admission is free on both days

〇GREEN.LAB
GREEN.LAB is a brand that uses larch grown in Shinshu and cypress from Minami-Kiso for its wood cores. At their booth, they will be exhibiting snowboards and wood cores, as well as selling GREEN.LAB apparel made from organic cotton and other materials.

The venue is packed with a variety of content, including the booths mentioned above. There are booths where you can try tree climbing using ropes, as well as live performances and live painting, so both adults and children can have fun all day long
