Announcement of "Avalanche Training Seminar Winter Edition 2025" | January 19th (Sun) | @ Nango Ski Resort, Fukushima Prefecture

A training course aimed at acquiring avalanche rescue skills, "Avalanche Training Course: Winter Edition 2025," will be held on Sunday, January 19th. The venue is Nango Ski Resort in Fukushima Prefecture.
The course will begin with lectures on snow science and avalanche topography, followed by practical training in shoveling and plowing on the snow.

■Participation fee: 8,000 yen for Tochigi/Ibaraki Mountaineering Federation members
(10,000 yen for those not affiliated with Tochigi/Ibaraki Mountaineering Federation)
*participated in the "Autumn Edition" can participate for 1,000 yen less.

・8:45 - Registration at Minshuku Sugaya (1020 Kaiuedashita, Minamiaizu-machi 0241-73-2116)
・9:00 - 10:30 Lecture (Snow science, avalanche terrain, airport approach, shoveling, probing)
・10:30 - 10:45 Travel, lunch
・11:00 - 15:30 ①Shoveling ②Probing ③Avalanche transceiver (beacon) training ④Scenario training
・15:30 - 16:00 Review, dismissal

■Eligibility
・Those who have insurance that covers variation mountain climbing, such as mountain mutual aid (climbing course)
* "Japan Mountain Association Mountain Mutual Aid Association" is recommended. * Please be sure to bring proof of mountain insurance.
• Individuals aged 18 or older (those under 20 require parental consent.)
